I don’t often leave a Google review but when I do it’s a special one. I am somewhat of accidentally unique customer to Fine Pebble Aquarium; I was shopping for used tanks on Facebook Marketplace and had arranged to look at a tank, but the seller was moving home and had asked a favor of Fine Pebble Aquarium to send it there to be sold from them, so he didn’t have to take it on his move. I arrived to look at the tank at Fine Pebble Aquarium, and not expecting much service, considering I was looking at a secondhand tank I was surprising shocked when Seb spent the better part of an hour talking to me about how I could set It up, what I could do for lights etc. etc. Long story short I arranged to buy it and come back with a Ute to pick it up. Now this is where my story gets truly amazing, when I returned, I shopped some more and bought some other things around the shop, then they helped me load up the cabinet and when we went to load the tank, we noticed it had somehow received a small five cent coin sized chip in the glass. I was truly devastated thinking I was going to miss out on this beautiful tank, but Seb shocked the absolute hell out of me and ordered me a brand-new tank and had it shipped to my house. Yes, you read right, a brand-new tank!!! And these retail for over five thousand dollars. This was not even Fine Pebble’s tank, but they went above, beyond, and then above and beyond 100000x more! Seb kept me up to date with everything along the way and was truly amazing. I had never heard of Fine Pebble Aquariums, but I will now be a lifelong customer, and I have to drive over an hour from the Central Coast down to them. I have NEVER received that level of customer service anywhere and have never had people care about you as a customer above just taking your money. I just got off the phone with them after what I thought was going to be a quick two minute phone call around lights, but it ended up being 15 minutes of ideas and suggestions and I almost fell off my chair with this yet again, at this point I should not be surprised as the team at Fine Pebble is the best in Australia hands down!!! I wish I could give a higher review than five star, as Fine Pebble deserves a ten star review

Despite being well packed for the trip from Sydney to Melbourne, the trip in the postal service was a bit rough and my product arrived damaged. Absolutely amazing place. If I could give more stars I absolutely would. I have come here multiple times from almost 2 hours away and it is so absolutely worth it. The fish and aquariums are so well kept, and their fish are so healthy compared to other aquariums in my area. Absolutely worth the trek lol. Next, I’d like to say the employees there are so lovely! This time Rick took care of me and I’ve never had someone so genuinely care about helping me pick a fish lol. (He is really funny too, so you’ll have a good time and not even realise time has gone by) I highly recommend coming here, you won’t regret it. High quality, healthy fish, for a great price. Fabulous family owned and run business. Every staff member here is genuine, experienced, and helpful. These guys helped me set up my first tank and made sure I did it slowly over weeks and checked in every week with a water test before doing anything else. Very clear these guys care about customers and their fish, never a push to sell anything, I've walked out a few times with nothing at their advice to make sure I had happy healthy fish! Also a great selection of fish, coral, tanks and general supplies and cheap prices! Wouldn't go anywhere else.

If you want genuine advice I would highly recommend this place. Rick took his time to take us through different options and setups and explained how to effectively and efficiently get everything started. I can tell they don’t just want to sell you something without outlining the work that is actually involved and for you to get the best out of it. Thank you so much Rick!

This is my style of LFS. Packed to the brim with coral and the staff are always friendly and helpful. They even managed to create a work around for me when they were out of stock. I travel 40 minutes with tolls to get there and will continue to do so.

Go to aquriam in Sydney. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The layout of the store is big with lots of different options in stock, tanks, and fish. They keep all tanks to a high standard and never seen any sick fish, which I have seen in quite a few other stores. Hands down the best in the area.

Went in over the weekend for the first time and was surprised how big this store is. There are plenty of corals and equipment to choose from and the owner served me and was very helpful and good to deal with. Went in for a heater after being to crystal palace around the corner and it was $20 cheaper for the exact same heater. Will be going back as they have a large array of corals and fish to choose from at reasonable prices .

Great experience. I came to upgrade our fish tank. There were a number of people working on the shop but everyone was busy. I waited 15 minutes before someone was free to talk to me. They then spend the next 30 minutes plus to talk me through all the consideration to select the right tabk that fits our need. There was no rush, no pressure and he stayed with us the whole time to answer any other questions. We felt the genuine intent to find the best outcome for us. We ended up buying probably one of the cheaper ones available. We saw this was the same with every other customers in the shop. If you know what you need, it's grab and go. If you need advice, they will take their time and give genuine advice, just be patient and wait for your turn.

The staff here are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I went in in a bit of a panic due to a leaky tank emergency at home which I had never dealt with before. The staff took their time with me, giving me advice on how to go about transferring my shrimp to a new tank and the safest way to get it set up and running without causing too much stress to my shrimp. I initially only went in to buy substrate for a new tank which I was planning to buy elsewhere but I discovered they had the tank for a MUCH lower price than I was expecting to pay. In the end, I bought a new tank, better substrate, shrimp food and some accessories and the total was $20 less than the price of the tank alone at the other retailer! I am so glad I decided to visit Fine Pebble first, and after seeing their range of plants, shrimp and tank accessories I will definitely be shopping with them again. Thank you so much!

Probably the smallest purchase ever made in this shop, but the Filigree plant looks great in my upgraded tank and waiting for its resident Betta to arrive. Friendly staff and a dazzling selection of coral and tropical fish. Update: bought 2 catfish recently for my Betta tank. Staff gave me great advice contrary to what I'd read online about community fish (guppies). My tank is spotless from the catfish doing their jobs and all fish are getting along!

FINE PEBBLE IS EXCELLENT. We're new to marine tanks so need more than just a shop. We need advice that helps us learn and improve our tank. Sebastian, Rick, Maria, Eric and the team aren't just helpful, they do more than we could reasonably expect because they want us to succeed. This includes visits to our house when we need help. Marine tanks can be difficult. If you're starting out, Fine Pebble is the place to go because it can be hard to find reliable advice when you really need it. But in addition to this, their coral selection is first class and they take pride in maintaining healthy fish. Our tank looks great! Thanks Fine Pebble

Rick and Sebastian told us not to hesitate to call for advice with quarantining when we had our first dreaded ich outbreak, they were always there to provide support over the phone. Best place. They have a good understanding of fishes esp. For a starter like me. So good suggestions and advise on what should I do. Have a wide variety of fishes including different guppies and betta fishes. Love the place and love the guys.

Fine pebble a great local aquarium. There are tanks galour, plenty of fish (especially tropical and cichlids) and all the newest tech. The boys are fantastic and knowledgeable and also love a good yarn.

Amazing service, good pricing and a really solid variety of fish. I got a bunch of Pygmy Corydoras here as well as some rare shrimp and Bristlenose species. They also seem to have a huge variety of saltwater species.

I asked for the most knowledgeble in marine staff member in illnesses and was sent to the right person. The advise i got was second to none. There was no push for a sale, infact a fresh water dip for flukes was recommended amongst other advise. Fish are doing great in the QT and cant wait to add them to our display tank. These guys are generous with their time and knowledge, well priced and incredibly helpful to those new to the hobby. FINALY a shop that puts animal welfare before profit. I witnessed another customer try to buy fish the same day as setting up their aquarium. The staff asked about his aquarium and filtration & setup and then kindly refused to sell him fish and took the time explaining the nitrogen cycle and the importance of cycling a tank and that the fish would likely get sick/die if added right away. The customer didn't care and still wanted the fish immediately and the store stood their ground and said they would only sell him fish once he had a water sample for them to test that it was safe for the fish. I have so much respect for this, it speaks volumes about the kind of people they are!!! They are so passionate and care so much about the welfare of their fish. For any new people starting out, they'll test your water, give you all the right advice and recommendations and are willing to educate their customers, you can't put a price on that level of service.

The best service I've ever received in any shop in Sydney! Im an absolute beginner to aquariums and fish , Eric spent ages with me teaching me about everything and didnt make me feel silly about anything. They'll take their time to educate you on how to look after your fish and set you up so you leave comfortable knowing how to keep your fish alive and Well. The shop itself offers a range of tanks, fresh and salt water fish, corals, and heaps of live plants , drift wood, and food.

Both freshwater and salt water aquarium supplies and life. Great store. About 4 car spots immediately off Parramatta Road right after the Korean BBQ. You'll need to be travelling towards Paramatta to park there.

They have so much patience and have answered every question my fiance and I had. Have looked after us in providing what we needed to get started and have been great to deal with. I bought the Aqua One 127L Lifestyle Kit from them about 2 weeks ago and due to their impeccable service I went back last week to get big decorative rocks, driftwood, gravel and a bonsai root. Sebastian is a top bloke!!! He is very knowledgeable and is more than happy to spend the time to explain the delicate art of maintaing a marine reef ecosystem. I have no reservations in traveling over 1.5hrs to visit these guys. Keep up the good work!

Sebastian really friendly and helpful with a true passion for fish keeping. The shop has only been open for a few weeks but already has a fine range of tropical and marine fish. Parking is available with 3 or 4 bays in front of the shop.

Best aquarium I've ever been too. Friendly and professional service. These guys know their stuff!
